在這裏待了一陣子，私心以為最出名的稜線，
自然是玉山北峰回望群峰的那景，
雲海在稜線上翻攪著，
透著晨曦與群山，真是美呆了，
沉浸在這幾十公尺油畫前，
連心情也變好了，
利用多出的時間，
看看勒布朗被逼到最候一戰的拼鬥，
嗯，第一節打得還蠻不賴的，
看看外頭的藍天，
一朵暈開著淡紫的梅花，
循序等待登機的那個瞬間，
感覺，
真的有那麼一點不一樣了呢！

The Taiwan Alpine Waiting Lounge is devoted to the mountain peaks of the country: there are 268 peaks that are over 3,000m high, giving Taiwan one of the highest mountain peak densities in the world. Ever Rich invited Prof. Li Zong-Ren, the curator of the Art Museum at the National Taiwan University of Arts and an expert in both Chinese ink painting and Western oil painting techniques, to create artwork for the lounge based on the theme of the Hundred Peaks in Taiwan. The aim was to showcase Yushan, the tallest of the Hundred Peaks and the peak most representative of the Taiwan spirit, to travellers in the lounge. Prof. Li took recycled scrap glass provided by the Spring Pool Glass Industrial Co. and re-processed it into brightly coloured glass, and pasted it into the work to create the mountainous landscape.

隨著第一航廈的整建完成，桃園國際機場主題候機室也跟著有新面孔出現。桃園國際機場公司與免稅店業者合作，於38個登機門、34座候機室空間，打造風格各異卻又能展現台灣風采的主題候機室。
2013年最新生力軍包括A1~A3圓堡型台灣彩陶候機室、A7台灣百嶽候機室、A8台灣好茶候機室、A9台灣歌仔戲候機室及B6台灣水果候機室、D6好客庄客家主題候機室等。

此外，Ａ9登機門則推出台灣歌仔戲候機室，由曾入圍葛萊美唱片包裝獎、並甫獲第24屆金曲獎流行音樂類「最佳專輯包裝獎」的國際知名視覺設計師蕭青陽所設計規劃，為主題牆設計了黑底金線的「我身騎白馬」立體環形牆面，薛平貴、王寶釧分居牆的對立面，象徵兩人無法碰面。
在他們身上，各印上書法家董陽孜的大筆行草書法「義」、「氣」二字，象徵華人傳統文化精神，更隱含著舊時代性別中「愛情的不正義」及王寶釧對薛平貴的「生氣」。
第一航廈南北登機廊廳14間候機室已由昇恆昌免稅店全數完成主題規劃，北側A區以台灣之美為主題，包括蝴蝶青花、彩陶、台灣百嶽等，南側B區則以台灣之光為主題，包括自行車、科技、體育等；網羅最具有台灣意象的自然人文與產業風貌等主題，合為「台灣之最」主題候機室群，將台灣好風光透過機場帶給國內外旅客。1030131“
